The Davao Food Appreciation Tour (DFAT) officially begins today, March 14, 2008. There are more than 20 bloggers and 8 establishments participating in this event. First up: a dinner at Lachi’s tonight. See you there!

In time for Araw ng Dabaw, The Usual Suspects has cooked up another food tripping adventure for bloggers everywhere. From March 14 - 16, 2008, registered bloggers will visit various food establishments in Davao City to enjoy the best food that Davao has to offer via the Davao Food Appreciation Tour, also known as Davao FAT.

The restaurants we will be visiting are Lachis, Kasagingan, Bryan’s Grill & Café (formerly La Piscine), Taps, Eden Nature Park, and Polo Bistro at the Marco Polo Hotel. Our friends at Sugar Munch and the Food Processors Association of Davao will also be giving us some of their products to enjoy. YUM!!!

The Davao FAT will be a three day tour of Davao City that will center on food and eating. This will be held from March 14 - 16, 2008, in time for Araw ng Davao. Most meals during this event will be for free for all registered participants.

Among the activities planned are an out-of-town trip, and tasting of products by Davao Food Processors. It will surely be a yumtastic experience for bloggers from around the Philippines.

The Davao Food Trip, organized by yours truly and my co-conspirators in The Usual Suspects, started in December 2007, and each leg of the trip has been announced at my homebase blog. From now on, this blog will be the home of the food trip in Davao City.
